Brisbane is situated on the coast line of Queensland and is a great tourist attraction.

Brisbane is the capital of Queensland, the principal language spoken by its citizens' is English.  The climate here is rather humid and subtropical, with an average annual temperature of 25 degrees Celsius.  The month of January is the hottest, averaging out at about 25 degrees.  July is the coldest, averaging to about 8 degrees.

In Brisbane, like most of Australia we don't have much rain, unfortunately.  The average. rainfall is 45inches, or 1,100mm. Another factor about Brisbane is that it doesn't snow here.

History
Brisbane was first settled as a convict colony in 1824, named after former governor of New South Wales, Sir Thomas Macdougall Brisbane.  It finally became a free settlement in 1842.  It was a city of NSW until 1859, when it became the capital of the newly established colony of Queensland.
