Queensland "The Great Barrier Reef!"

The Great Barrier Reef is the world's most extensive coral reef, extending for approximately 2000Km along Queensland coastline

barrier.jpg (18170 bytes) There are numerous subtropical islands located on the sheltered side of the reef, these are mostly submerged mountains, revealing above the reef.  These islands are untouched and many of them are noted as national parks.  Now if you like the idea of this environment, good news is that at least 20 of these islands have resort facilities on them (Most of them are located under Interesting Places).  There are organised activities, like boating activities and scouting the reefs for treasures also the wonderful scuba diving locations.
