The Brush-tailed Phascogale hangs around trees more in Bushland.  As beautiful as it is, you would have to be pretty quick to sight one of these, as they are a shy and rapid little marsupial.  No information is available on their diet.

Bilbies are an outback animal, that is, they live in desert conditions. That explains the ears. The reason why they are so big is so that blood can circulate the ears, and help keep them cool.  No information is available on their diet.

Brush-tailed possum, another one of Australia's well known marsupials, with the beautiful brush tail.  These poor creatures have had it hard in the past, having their homes removed, things are much better for them these days.  For most possums of the past, life meant being lopped out of trees, getting attacked by dogs or ran over by residents or being chased out of rooves. Now they have been giving a better chance the number is steadily increasing.  Their diet is much the same as other possums.

Flying foxes are found everywhere, especially if you have Banana Plants.   They don't attack on purpose or spread rabies, as a matter of fact, they are shy creatures that spend most of their time eating fruit (from peoples back-yard plantations). Unfortunately you will sight most flying foxes hanging lifelessly from power-lines than anywhere else.

The Blue Wren is one of our pretty little natives. They have a wonderful voice and make a wonderful exhibit.  As pretty as they there is not much information available on this site about them.  They are perhaps as common as Kingfishers.   (Although they are not as common as dove's, sparrows or Cockatoos, which are an everyday sighting they are still seen every now and then.)  Suggestibly an aviary at a wild-life sanctuary would be a good place for a full-on sighting.

The information provided here has been used strictly from what has been read or said.   In suburban areas or cities the above birds are mostly common, whereas other animals may be more common in the outback.
