Central Tilba Deer Park
Located 8Km N of Princes Hghway, through Central Tilba Village. This is a wild life
park set in a beautiful valley at the foot of Mnt Dromedary. The park raises fallow deer
for commercial.
Coffs Harbour
Located at centre of a large banana-growing region. Aside the Pacific Hghway (running through the town)
is a giant replica of a big banana - like the big lobster & the big pineapple.
Other nearby attractions include the Kambaingeri Wildlife Sanctuary and its variety of Ausralian animal and
birdlife which thrive in their natural bushland setting, also is the dense rainforest of Bruxner Park Floral Reserve.
Commonwealth Meteorological Station
Situated 4Km NW of Cobar, it releases weather balloons at 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily.
Visitors may observe the method used to track and record weather info relayed from the
balloons back to the station.
Dangars Falls
These falls are among the most spectacular in the State, especially after heavey rainfall.
They are located 22Km S of Armidale and plunge 183M into a large rock pool. The scenic trip to these
falls passes the old Dangar Homestead at Palmereston, and the Dangarsleigh War Memorial. Nearby is Dangar
Lagoon which is a haven for birdlife.
Eden
Located on a dividing headland overlooking Twofold Bay. This town is the last major centre before the
Princes Hghway crosses into Vic. Commercial timber and fishing are the main industries of the region.
11Km S of the town is Boyd Town, which is a showplace of historical interest.
Fantasy Glades
Located in Parklands Avenue, Port Macquarie. The 2 hectare landscape contains camillias and
azaleas. Other features include Snow White's Cottage, a miniature church, the 'Big Shoe' (another *Big* att.)
and an animated section.
Witch craft, no! The two ugly sisters, infact - they can be found at the Fanstasy Glades display!
Glacial Area
Glacial Area known as Rocky Creek Conglomerate is located 37Km W of Bingera.
The rocks are fluvio-glacial, which simply means they were deposited in front of a glacier or ice-sheet and then reworked by the river.
Grafton District
Its main features include Stone Cottage Museum and Nungera Gallery, Maclean, which displays
Aboriginal Carvings and drawings; Storey House, Yamba, which shows the history of the town; and Grafton Gaol and the rainforested
Susan Island, which lies in the middle of the Clarence River. This island is renowned for its flying foxes that fly 'en masse' during summer dusks.
Grafton is a well known 'pit-stop' for travellers taking the coastal route between Sydney and Brisbane.
Main attractions include Schaeffer Mus. on Woodfrod Isl, Grafton Gaol and the Jacaranda Festival, held in November.
Hartley Historical Site
Located on the Great Western Hghway, 134Km W of Sydney. The historical site includes a number of buildings constructed during the
1840s. The main feature is the court house which was built by convict labour. The building consists of a court room, a magistrate's room,
a constable's room and a lock-up.

Hill End
Hill End is an old settlement which has been restored as a historical site. Formerly known as Hawkins Hill, its population equalled
that of Sydney during the 1870s when it was the centre of a gold rush. Among the highlights of the town are a museum recording the gold rush era
and one of the fifty odd pubs which has been restored. Many visitors to the area still fossick for gold in the local rivers
Historic Lighthouse
This lighthouse his located in Wollongong Boat Harbour, and overlooks Belmore Basin.
It is one of the few lighthouses open for public inspecion.
Inverell
Located 70Km W of Glen Innes, its known for its gem stones, notably sapphires, which attract many fossikers. A main attraction of the town is Pioneer Village,
which is a collection of nineteenth Century buildings that have been moved from their original sites, including Paddy's pub and Grove
Homestead. The Macintyre Falls, limestone caves and Gilgai Red Winery can all be found in the surrounding district.
Jenolan Caves
Located on a spur of the Great Dividing Range, SW of the Blue Mnts and 182Km W of Sydney. These underground
limestone caves are the best known in the State. 7 of the so-called 'dark caves' are open for public inspection. Other attractions include a 2430 hectare
flora and fauna sanctuary, which has several nature trails and picnic sites, and Caves House, a first-class hotel.
Kangaroo Valley
One of the most beautiful areas in Australia, Kangaroo Valley is noted for its superb panoramic views of the surrounding district, its broad pasturelands bounded by steep
sandstone courthouse, and Pioneer Farm Mus., which records a typical dairy farm as it was in the late ninteenth century.
Lake Eucumbene
Located in the Snowy Mnts, Lake Eucumbene has five resorts around its shores. Buckenderra is a 25 Hectare resort on the Middlingbank Arm; it has self-contained villas, on-site
caravans and 7M, four-berth cruises. Adaminaby is an excellent spot for fishing and features cottags, units, onsite caravans, camping sites, a
general store and boat-launching facilities. Anglers Reach is located where the old Adaminaby-Kiandra road disappears into the lake. It has all the above also. Providence Portal
is located where Eucumbene River meets the backed-up waters of the lake, and the area has a caravan park. Braemar Bay is 4Km from the Eucumbene dam wall and offers on-site
accommodation. All resorts have boat hire facilities.
